Zarabanda lejana y Villancico

"Distant Sarabande" and "Villancico" are lesser-known works by Joaquín Rodrigo. These pieces reflect Rodrigo's ability to integrate traditional Spanish music forms into a contemporary classical context. The Sarabande, a slow, dignified dance, is treated by Rodrigo with subtle melody and rich harmonics.
